Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Cash Finders R Us Marketplace ("the Marketplace", "we") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Marketplace you agree to the practices below.

1. Who this applies to

Two groups: (a) operators — professionals who sign up to claim and work surplus recovery opportunities; (b) claimants — homeowners or beneficiaries whose property records appear in our opportunity inventory. Operators have accounts. Claimants do not — their data is sourced from public records and shared with operators who claim their opportunity.

2. What we collect from operators

When you create an account or apply as an operator, we collect: your name, email address, and phone number (via Clerk, our authentication provider); your business name, licensed jurisdictions, and license attestation (via the onboarding form); your sign-in events and in-app activity (claims, mark-for-review actions, integration connections); and any tokens you paste for third-party integrations (e.g. REI Unlock / GoHighLevel Private Integration Tokens). Integration tokens are stored encrypted at rest and used only for the explicit push actions you authorize.

3. What we collect about claimants

Claimant data is sourced from publicly available government records — county clerk filings, recorder of deeds publications, court dockets, and similar public sources. We do not pull credit reports, run background checks, or buy lists. The data includes: property address, ownership records, foreclosure/auction information, and anything else the county published. When available, we may also store a phone number or email obtained from a skip-trace provider. We never sell claimant data.

4. How we use the data

Operator data is used to authenticate you, route opportunities to you, audit your claim history, and execute the integrations you set up. Claimant data is used to surface opportunities in the marketplace and, when an operator claims one, to share that claimant's contact information with the claiming operator so they can pursue the recovery on the claimant's behalf.

5. Who sees what

Claimant data is visible to (a) marketplace administrators for review and audit; (b) the single operator who claims an opportunity, for the duration of the claim; and (c) any downstream services that operator has connected (notary, capital advance, title, attorney). Claimant data is not shared with unrelated operators or with the public.

Operator datais visible to marketplace administrators and to claimants whose deals an operator is working (operator's name and business name only, never private contact details unless the operator chooses to share them).

6. Third parties we use

We use Clerk for authentication and account management; Neon Postgres for database hosting; Vercel for hosting and edge compute; and REI Unlock(built on GoHighLevel) as the CRM that operators connect to. We do not share data with these vendors beyond what's required for them to provide their service. Each operates under their own privacy policy.

7. Data retention

Operator account data persists for as long as the account is active, plus a reasonable audit window after deactivation. Claimant data persists as long as the underlying public record remains publicly available; we also keep historical claim/deal records for audit and regulatory purposes. Integration tokens (e.g. PITs) are deleted from our systems when an operator disconnects their integration. Operators can request account deletion at any time by emailing the address below; we'll honor the request within 30 days, retaining only what we're legally required to keep.

8. Security

Data in our database is encrypted at rest by the database provider. Connections to and from the Marketplace use TLS. Operator integration tokens are stored as encrypted columns and are never echoed back to the client after initial entry. Administrative access is limited to a small allowlist of marketplace staff. No system is perfectly secure — we recommend operators rotate their integration tokens periodically and report anything suspicious to the contact below.

9. Your rights and choices

Operators can: review their stored data via the dashboard at any time; disconnect any integration via the integrations page; correct their profile information via Settings; and request full account deletion via the contact below. Claimants whose data appears in the Marketplace can request removal (we'll honor reasonable requests, though removing data sourced from continuing public records may not prevent it from re-appearing in subsequent scrapes).

10. Children

The Marketplace is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

12. Contact
